eFECS Online FEC Launches for Quarterly Reporters

Last week, online FEC system was released for schools that certify on a quarterly basis. Semi-annual schools will begin using this new system in July.

Learn about the University's Endowment!

Learn more about the University's endowment by signing up for a class offered through UW Professional & Organizational Development (POD) on Tuesday, May 4th from 1:00pm to 4:45pm. Learn about the endowment process, from the time funds arrive at the University to the distribution to the department, and stewardship reporting. Participants receive a model for projecting endowment cash flow.

Mysteries of Managing Email are Unveiled…

UW Records Management Services is pleased to announce the release of Best Practices for Managing Email for use by University employees. The full document, which can be found at:

http://f2.washington.edu/fm/recmgt/retentionschedules/gs/general/uwgs5, includes detailed recommendations regarding email retention how to manage inbox flow, and a manager's responsibilities. A training session on mail will be offered on May 11th. Advanced registration is required.

New NON-FEC Cost Share Reporting Form

A revised Non-FEC reporting form has been published to the GCA web page. The new form facilitates entry into the eFECS cost share module (CSM) thereby reducing the time it takes to have reported data reflected in the CSM. Coding Changes for Purchasing "Intangible Assets"

There are new and updated object codes for intangible assets (including SOFTWARE). The following object codes should now be used for intangible assets: 05-45, 05-46, 06-18, 06-19, 06-20, and 06-21.
