The governance structure of the Implementation Phase was designed for streamlined and faster decision making. These advisory and working groups inform that decision making by providing venues for subject matter experts to dive deep and collaborate on decisions and solutions. Some of these groups are already in place but may evolve in membership, others will come into play later on in the program, and not all will exist for the entire duration of Implementation.

This group supports the design decisions as they pertain to and require scrutiny for technical accounting requirements.
- Board of Deans / Chancellors

The Board of Deans and Chancellors considers matters of special interest related to educational policy, administrative processes and operations under the presidential orders, the faculty code and governance, the student governance and policies, and the employment and administrative policies. - Budget Committee

The Budget Committee is responsible for reviewing and advising on the financials of the program. The committee will meet regularly to review the adherence of budget-to-date, the forecast for spend, and variances to budget. The committee will also review and advise on resource plans for the core program and collaboration partners. Any request for approval for use of contingency funds would first be reviewed by this committee for recommendation to executive sponsors and the provost.

The Change Champions network will be a community of practice built of engaged stakeholders from across the University. The Change Champions will drive change acceptance and adoption of the new.

The Foundation Data Model (FDM) Working Group provides oversight of FDM development and design activities by identifying and reviewing FDM design impacts, offering input and guidance for design decisions and evaluating major process outputs and reporting outcomes as a result of FDM design.
- Op Model Process Transformation Team (OM PTT)

The Op Model Process Transformation Team (OM PTT) ensures that enterprise stakeholders play a central role in the design of the UW’s new financial system, processes and policies. This group will be responsible for strategy and approach for the enablement of the Shared Environments, process workflows across levels of shared, and future state support model. This work will be aligned with the business processes defined by the levels of shared which informs where work will be done. This is inclusive of UW Academy and UW Medicine in preparation for implementing Workday.
- Organizational Change Management (OCM) Advisory

The OCM Advisory Group will serve as a sounding board of UW culture experts and experienced communication and change management professionals. The UWFT OCM team will look to them to vet and provide feedback on critical program approaches, communications, talking points, and presentations in order to ensure that the key messages will be clearly understood and likely to resonate with their intended audience.

The UM Medicine Advisory group meets with key impacted leaders on a regular basis to share UWFT updates in the design and technology space tailored to UW Medicine, and provide a venue to ask questions and raise concerns.
