I’m pleased to announce that the University of Washington has formally signed a contract to partner with Deloitte for the remainder of the Readiness Phase of the UW Finance Transformation (UWFT) program.
With Deloitte’s support, the UWFT program team will be diving into the next stage of Readiness. This will involve development of the future state design, operating model, and Workday prototype. This work will rely heavily on the information gained during the recent completion of the Benchmarking & Data Gathering effort in which the University saw an impressive 100 percent participation and on-time completion by all units.
This transformation of the University’s legacy financial systems, processes and policies is the largest administrative modernization at the UW to date. The UWFT Sponsor Team, which includes many leaders across the institution, fully supports the effort and has confidence in the strength of the program team and governance strategy. UWFT is being built upon many of the lessons learned from HR/Payroll Modernization program (HRPM), including the active and ongoing involvement and input from all levels throughout the enterprise.
