Regents approve UWFT funding

December 12, 2019
Today, UWFT received unanimous funding approval from the University of Washington Board of Regents. The program now enters Implementation, gearing up for go-live.

UWFT Program Welcomes New AVP

November 19, 2018
Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to announce that Ed Loftus will be joining UW as the new Assistant Vice President for Finance Transformation.

Ed is currently Executive Director for Business Planning, Systems and Budget for Bucknell University. Ed led Bucknell’s planning, budgeting, auxiliary operations and administrative systems, and he led Bucknell’s implementation of both Workday Financials and Human and Capital Management. Prior to Bucknell, Ed was Director of Business Initiative Development and Delivery with Prudential Financial-Retirement. Ed holds a bachelor's degree in management from the University of Scranton and an MBA in finance from the University of Notre Dame. He is a certified Project Management Professional and has taught as an Adjunct Professor of Management at University of Scranton.

Provost Mark Richards, New EVPFA Executive Sponsor

Dear Colleagues,

I’m pleased to share that our provost, Mark Richards, has agreed to become UWFT’s new Executive Sponsor. In this role, Provost Richards will lead the program sponsors in defining the scope, schedule and budget for this important effort, and help to drive decisions supporting readiness and implementation of this transformation. Provost Richards will also directly involve President Cauce in any issues that require her engagement, particularly with regard to resources across the UW/UWM to support UWFT during this multi-year effort.

Ongoing Mobile Support Units (MSUs) and UWFT Office Hours

July 10, 2018
For staff participating in the Benchmarking and Data Gathering process, UWFT continues to deploy Mobile Support Units (MSUs) across the University as well as host regular "Office Hours" at PCH. Details can be found on the "Help" section of the Change Network site, and be sure to regularly monitor the Announcements page of the Change Network for helpful news and information.


Support offered for Benchmarking and Data Gathering process

June 20, 2018
To support units in this process, the UWFT team held four in-person training sessions for Unit Administrators in early June. This week and next, we will also be holding in-person sessions to help orient the technical and functional experts to the SharePoint site and the surveys. We will also be deploying Mobile Support Units (MSUs) across the University and hosting "Office Hours" to provide hands-on support. Details about these sessions, MSUs and Office Hours can be found on the "Help" section of the Change Network site.
