FPB Brief: Final Compromise 2026 Supplemental Operating and Capital Budgets
Leadership in the state legislature released and approved their compromise 2026 operating and capital budgets, then adjourned the 2026 legislative session on time. A summary of the budgets is available on the FPB Briefs page.
The budgets are now on their way to Governor Ferguson, and FPB will update the brief if any changes impact the University. In the coming weeks, FPB will also post summaries of bills tracked and fiscal notes completed by our team in collaboration with campus experts.
