Governor Ferguson released his proposed 2026 supplemental operating and capital budgets on December 23, ahead of the 2026 state legislative session. Each budget document, including information relevant to all state agencies, can be found on the Governor’s Office of Financial Management’s website. The 60-day legislative session is set to begin on January 12, 2026, and end on March 13, 2026. The Policy, Planning & State Operations (PPSO) team will post similar overviews of subsequent budget proposals introduced by legislative leaders throughout the session.
