System Updates

DateDescription of UpdateFront-end or Back-end update
2/24/2025

Major redesign of the UWCF site. New and updated features include:

  • Simplified Menu Bar for the site.
  • Browse by category with all knowledge articles categorized. (these may change over time as existing categories are updated and new categories are added.)
  • Search results filters for Category, Last Modified, and View Count.
  • Search result sorting by Relevance, Views, Newest, and Alphabetical. Sorting can be ascending or descending.
  • Infinite load of search results. If more than 15 articles are returned, the system will automatically load new results as you scroll.
  • Breadcrumb metadata showing exactly where knowledge articles live.
  • Category results page showing all knowledge articles in a category with the ability to drill down to subcategories.
  • Helpful Article feedback on each article page. This is a phase 1 release, future enhancements are planned.
  • Request Form search improvements. Forms search will filter forms on the fly.
  • Share knowledge articles with the Copy Permalink feature.
Front-end

  • Consolidated 20 knowledge bases to a single knowledge base. This change was necessary to ensure the site is more flexible and sustainable long term.
  • Created a four-level category hierarchy for all knowledge articles, allowing us to better define where content should be found.
  • Created content owner groups for all groups that are creating and adding knowledge articles to UWCF.
  • Assigned all knowledge articles to content owner groups.
  • Created reporting dashboards for content owner groups so they can see all the content they own.
  • Implemented knowledge article templates to ensure consistency of content created.
