More than likely, you got charged a *late change of registration fee* for making a change to your registration after the 1st week of a quarter. In general, changes to registration that occur after the 1st week of a quarter incur a change of registration service fee. Such changes include, but are not limited to: + adding or dropping a course + changing a course from credit to no credit + hardship or other withdrawl from classes For any changes made within the 1st week of a quarter, there is no service fee. However, changes to registration made at any time may result in changes to your tuition charges and/or impact your elibibility for financial aid. In some cases, [tutition forfeiture](http://finance.uw.edu/sfs/tuition/forfeiture-refund) may occur. For additional information, visit the following websites: + [UW Student Guide](http://www.washington.edu/students/#ACADEMICS) (*Registration and Add/Drop* section) + [Office of the Registrar](http://registrar.washington.edu/) + [Student Fiscal Services](http://finance.uw.edu/sfs/tuition/forfeiture-refund) Withdrawal from classes and/or the University requires additional action beyond registration changes and may result in [tuition forfeiture](http://finance.uw.edu/sfs/tuition/forfeiture-refund).
