The purpose of the [technology fee](http://techfee.washington.edu/) is to recover the costs of providing and maintaining services to students that include: access to the Internet, World Wide Web, email, computers, multimedia workstations, labs, etc. The fee was authorized by the State Legislature and approved by the University's Board of Regents and the ASUW. The technology fee is part of your tuition.
