UW does not offer any payment plans for tuition. For emergency needs (typically when you expect your financial aid to come through after the tuition due date), UW does offer, a [short-term loan](http://finance.uw.edu/sfs/students/short-term) option that may meet your needs.
Please note the following regarding the short-term loan program at UW:
+ There is a one-time $30 origination/processing fee
+ Payment must be made **in full** prior to the tuition due date of the following quarter.
+ As long as your loan remains unpaid, you will not be able to take out another.
+ Failure to pay in full, on time may result in the loan being sent to a collection agency.
You may apply for a short-term loan through [MyUW](http://myuw.washington.edu/) and get approval within minutes. Remember that if you don't pay the loan, there will be negative consequences as written in the [UW SFS Student Financial Guide](http://www.washington.edu/students/sfs/outreach/finguide2008.pdf).
