Initiative: WebSpace Inventory and Survey Updates

This initiative applies to departments that will participate in the Space Survey. 

The purpose of this initiative is to:  

  • Update the inventory in WebSpace: validate space assignments, primary use, and occupied space; confirm and designate occupants; identify recharge centers, clusters, and service-related rooms. 

  • Survey research-related spaces: functionalize each research-related room based on activities conducted.  This process involves specifying funding sources for all designated occupants and indicating the percentage of time they spend in the research space.  

The WebSpace tool helps with this process, but it is still a substantial amount of work to be done within a short period. MAA will provide support throughout the process and hold regular office hours to assist users through this work.

Update inventory in WebSpace. These changes may have already been identified (but not updated in WebSpace) during the WebSpace Data Validation and Review initiative.  

Note: While the inventory will reflect what was entered into InVision (through 11/30/22), there is some F&A-specific information that needs to be added in WebSpace. Complete this step before updating the room(s) for the Survey.
