If a payment hasn't been posted, there are a couple of common reasons why. In general, follow these steps: + Note the date of your loan statement. Was it printed before your payment had time to be posted? + It's possible that your payment was received after the loan statment was printed and mailed to you, but before the payment was processed. If this is the case, you can contact the loan biller to check if they received the payment. + Check with your bank. Has your check been cashed? + You can usually check with your bank via a phone or internet. If the check has been cashed, it's possible that your pa yment posting was delayed, or was applied to the wrong account (to minimize this sort of error, always include your account number directly on your check). + Check with [Student Fiscal Services](http://finance.uw.edu/sfs/). Has something else gone wrong? + Contact [Student Fiscal Services](http://finance.uw.edu/sfs/) as we may be able to trace your payment and ensure that it is posted to your account. Make sure to include your full name and 7 digit student ID number when contacting us.
