The Financial Reporting team is responsible for the integration of the UW financial data to the State of Washington's Agency Financial Reporting System (AFRS), reconciliation, and related annual financial statement reporting.
As a state agency, the UW is obligated to fulfill its reporting requirements by following the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report closing schedule.
The State Administrative & Accounting Manual (SAAM) provides control and accountability over financial reporting and assists the UW in gathering and maintaining information needed for the preparation of financial statements. The policies and procedures in this manual are the minimum requirements that the UW must meet.
