Peer Groups
The University of Washington currently uses a number of peer groups to provide institutional benchmarking. For general institution-to-institution benchmarking, the AAU Publics peer group is the default peer group. For academic and student success outcomes, the BIG10 offers a subset of the AAU list for further comparison. For financial information, UW often compares with peers with similar Moody's credit ratings. The state of WA also publishes reports and dashboards that compare UW with regional peers in WA. Several peer comparison groups have been used by the University of Washington in the past, and for programmatic and accreditation benchmarking, internal UW units may use a different group.

Many peer comparison dashboards are available to UW staff through UW Profiles (select the "Peer Comparisons" tag to filter to the peer comparison dashboards).
