ECC is setup with Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication, so you will be asked to authenticate when accessing the system URL.
ECC has three separate "Institutions" that each has a separate system instance with different statements requiring certification. You will need to select your institution on the sign in page after authenticating:
- UWM - Harborview Medical Center employees
- APL - Applied Physics Laboratory employees
- UW - Everyone else (UW Academy, as well as School of Medicine)
Access Details
All active employees with a UW NetID will be able to access ECC, but for view or operational access, a system role is required. If you only have the "Home" and "Links" menu sections visible when you login, you do not have an assigned role in the system. Please reach out to effortreporting@uw.edu to request access.
To be able to complete coordinator tasks in ECC, you must have the "Coordinator" system role (granted centrally from effortreporting@uw.edu) as well as coordinator/department relationships with the cost centers in your department. Coordinator/department relationships can also be granted centrally by a request to effortreporting@uw.edu
