100% Sponsor-Funded Faculty Report

Purpose

This ECC report shows faculty members that had an Effort Statement where 100% of their effort was devoted/certified as benefiting sponsored awards beginning July 1, 2023.

The Report

Currently, ECC restricts who can run this report. To make it available widely, an Excel version of the report will be published twice a year, in late June/July and January. Note: You must be logged with your UW NetID to view this report.

PI/Department Responsibility

It is the faculty and the department's responsibility to monitor the levels of effort and to ensure that they are an accurate reflection of the work performed. Time spent on non-sponsored activities of 1% or more must be represented on the associated Effort Statement.

Things to Know

• Repeated Faculty Members - If a faculty member changed cost centers during the reporting period, they may be listed twice for the same Effort Statement, once for each assigned cost center.
• Rounding - There can be small rounding errors on Effort Statements in ECC (e.g. 100.01% or 99.99%). The rounding error has been adjusted to 100% in the Excel version of the report for convenience.
• Information Only - This report is presented for informational purposes. A faculty member’s inclusion on the report does not mean the effort is incorrect or that any changes must be made. This report is meant to provide departments with information regarding which faculty have certified Effort Statements where 100% of their effort was devoted to sponsored awards.
