ECC Statement Types

ECC System Notice

Daily Restart: The ECC system restarts daily at 6:30pm PST. It is expected for access to be limited or unavailable for about 15-20 minutes during this time each day. Access should be restored by 7pm daily, but system performance may be impacted on Monday's after 7pm when data for the week is loading.

ECC has two statement types: effort statements and project statements.

Effort Statements

Documents faculty compensation/effort on sponsored awards
Certified by the faculty
Completed every six months for the following performance periods:
- January 1 – June 30
- July 1 – December 31

Project Statements

Documents non-faculty compensation (staff pay) on sponsored awards
Certified by the PI for their Awards
Completed every three months for the following performance periods:
- January 1 – March 31
- April 1 – June 30
- July 1 – September 30
- October 1 – December 31

Note: Compensation in ECC is based on an integration with Workday and will reflect the distribution of faculty and non-faculty pay as it appears in Workday.
