The University of Washington does not mail tuition statements. All tutition and fee statements are created electronlically and are available through [MyUW](http://myuw.washington.edu). This is your official billing statement. The University will send a message to your UW registered email account reminding you to check your tuition statement. The first reminder is emailed during the week before the quarter.

FAQ
You don't even need to come in to Schmitz Hall. Sign up for direct deposit via [MyUW](http://myuw.washington.edu/) *Personal Services*, and you'll receive a safe, secure transfer of aid funds (after payment of tuition and fees) directly to your bank account. Funds are generally available within three to four business days after you sign a loan document or by the beginning of the quarter (whichever is later). Student Fiscal Services (SFS) notifies each student of the amount of tuition and mandatory fees paid by them or on their behalf each year. Students (and alumni recently graduated) receive this information in late January or early-to-mid-February by mail or electonically (you may opt-in to electronic reporting via [MyUW](http://myuw.washington.edu/). A summary of education tax credits is available on the SFS [website](http://f2.washington.edu/fm/sfs/tax/credits).

The options available will depend on which type of loan(s) you have. In general, the best thing to do is to contact your lender(s) as soon as possible to ask for advice and assistance. If the University of Washington is your lender, contact a Receivables Advisor in [Student Fiscal Services](http://finance.uw.edu/sfs) at 206-685-9640 or [Email](http://finance.uw.edu/sfs/contact) your question.

The Registration Office charges $20 late change fee for changes made after the 8th day of the quarter. For all changes made within a day there is only one charge. If your instructor adds a class and you are charged a fee, you may ask them to send email to the Registration Office regoff@u.washington.edu asking to have the fee waived.

If I left the UW for two or more consecutive quarters, do I need to file a student deferment request on my loan when I return?

**Yes, you will need to file a student deferment request on your loan when you return to UW.** Your loan goes into repayment when you drop below half-time enrollment, excluding Summer Quarter. If you return to school at least half-time (6 credits for undergraduates), you should file a student deferment request with each of your lenders when you re-enroll.
