Week of 4/17 Workday Finance Stabilization Update

Post Award Grant Administration Stabilization Update

  • GCA’s Award Setup backlog continues on a downward trend and is now under 800 items, an 12% decrease in the last two weeks and a 48% decrease since the start of the calendar year. The team is currently analyzing the most common reasons for returning items to campus with a goal of generating internal process improvements and creating clearer guidance for campus customers.
  • The Reporting team is focusing on completing backlog final financial reports. Work to identify tools that will streamline the reconciliation process will be prioritized in the coming weeks.
  • In anticipation of the Closing Team’s kick-off on April 22, job aids and employee training for the new process are being created. Web guidance for the community will be updated as business processes become more well-defined in the coming weeks.
  • The GCA Workflow and Backlog Tracking webpage now has Tableau visualizations that display trends more clearly. GCA is working with the DATAGroup to provide users with the ability to drill-down to more granular data for better analysis and transparency.
