You should have received an announcement from UWIT regarding UW network security. Please note that this security change may impact all persons who connect remotely to equipment in their laboratories, or who use remote file system connections, such as to a file server in the laboratory.
UW-IT advises that the virtual private network (VPN) service described in the attached message, Husky OnNet, is a likely solution. The implementation date for this change is April 24, 2018, so if your research faculty are in this category, please inform them that they need to set up and test Husky OnNet before April 24.
