Final FY21 fringe benefit rates (i.e. payroll load rates) are available in the Benefit Rate Table and within SAGE budget. Use these updated rates on multi-year sponsored program proposal budgets to best reflect anticipated costs.
If you submitted a proposal using the previously published or preliminary rates for budget years beyond FY21, upon award, you may re-budget as necessary to account for these changes. In most cases, this will not require sponsor approval.
Steps to apply the updated benefit rates to a SAGE Budget in progress:
Legacy Format SAGE Budget Steps:
- Go to the Properties tab of your SAGE budget
- Scroll to Benefit Rates and choose “Use Current Budget Rates”
- Click “Update Benefit Rates”
Current Format (new) SAGE Budget Steps:
- Go to Budget Settings in left navigation, expand the Data & Calculations section and “Refresh Benefit Rates”
