Q: The statistics are awarded amounts, not funds actually received by UW, correct? Are there any statistics about the latter?
A: Correct. The Sponsored Programs Annual Data - FY2020 presentation shows awarded amounts. we can try to get data for funds received at a later MRAM.
Q: Any idea how much funding for COVID-19 related projects our researchers have received ($40-60M)?
A: We track this, but did not bring it to MRAM. COVID-19 related funding received to date as of Nov. 6th: 138 awards totaling $102,207,910
Q: Did you mean No Cost Extensions (NCEs) up by 175%?
A: No, NCE’s are up by 175 from last year.
Q: Can we get subaward year over year data?

Q: Is it possible to get these numbers by department?
A: Yes. The BI Portal Visualizations, such as Research Awards Counts & Amounts, and Reports, such as Research Awards could be helpful.

Compliance Corner - Cares Act Funding and COVID Research
Q: If known to be from the “three acts” a comment on the FA from OSP is sufficient?
A: The GCA Budget Set Up team identifies the “3 Acts” on awards and whether any Grant Control Flag needs and/or sub-budget needs when these come through. OSP does not need to include a comment on the Funding Action.
