Does your department need detailed and customized data about its sponsored project activities? Join the CORE class, “Research Administration Data Cube,” March 2, from 1:00-2:00 pm.

This hybrid CORE course, consisting of on-demand materials and a follow-up Zoom session, focuses on data available through the Research Administration Data Cube (RADC) on the BI Portal.

  • On-demand lectures and demonstrations orient you to the Research Administration Data landscape with an explanation of the cube and a tour of its data points. including awards, proposals, and expenditures, highlighting the kinds of questions that can be answered using the RADC.
  • The on-demand materials conclude with two exercises for participants to complete. Completion of the on-demand materials is strongly recommended in order to receive high value from the follow-up Zoom session.
  • The Zoom session, scheduled for March 2 from 1:00-2:00 pm, includes a debrief of the exercises, further demonstrations, and an expanded opportunity for participants to ask specific research administration data questions.

Previous data experience is assumed; participants are expected to be comfortable using Excel and pivot tables and have EDW access prior to attending this course. Participants who do not have expertise in Excel pivot tables or would like to refresh their knowledge before the class are encouraged to take a look at LinkedIn Learning tutorials.

Completion of both the online materials and the live session is necessary to receive credit for this class toward the CORE Research Administration certificate.

Thank you,
