Salary Over the Cap

Hello Colleagues,

 

Since going live with Workday Finance, we have come across two issues for Costing Allocations for employees with Salary Over the Cap:

 

  • If you are paying an employee on a UW1861 grant, you cannot pay their Salary over the Cap from the School of Medicine. The reverse is true as well. If you are paying an employee on a School of Medicine grant, you cannot pay their Salary over the Cap from UW1861.
  • You cannot pay for salary over the cap from a StandAlone Grant Worktag.

 

We are working on determining a solution and will communicate more as we find the best possible workarounds for campus.
