Effective immediately, standalone grants may no longer be used as cost share funding sources. When used in this way, standalone grant worktags interfere with Workday’s ability to accurately track and record cost share commitments. This change is necessary to support our ongoing compliance efforts.
If you are currently using, or are planning to use a standalone grant as a cost share funding source:
- GCA will contact departments currently using standalone grants as funding sources for cost share commitments to help facilitate the transition to different worktags.
- While departmental and/or gift worktags are a possibility, GCA recommends using a program worktag as the funding source. If a suitable Program worktag does not exist, please submit a request to create a new Program worktag for this purpose.
- Cost share addendums received with a standalone grant listed as a funding source will be returned for revision.
