In preparation for the UW’s switch to Workday on June 27, SAGE salary and payroll data was “frozen” on June 19th. New eGC1s created between June 19 and July 6 will display the “frozen” or “stale” data.
Once the SAGE release is complete on the evening of July 6, it will reflect the new Workday salary and payroll data.

What’s Affected in SAGE
The Workday data model introduces new concepts including Positions, Academic Appointments and Primary Organizations.
Approval Graph
- You can preview the Approval Graph via a link on the newly renamed PI, Personnel, & Organizations page.
- If necessary, you can add additional organizations to the Approval Graph on the PI, Personnel, & Organizations page
Personnel Chooser
Terminology Updates
- “Title (Academic Appointment Type)” replaces Job Class Title
- “Primary Position” replaces Home Department
SAGE Budget
When you select a person using the Person Chooser, salary information displays in an easy to read table format that provides more detail and includes new workday terminology and data.
