eFECS Effort Reporting Deadline and Retirement

Wednesday, October 11th is the last day to certify an FEC electronically in the eFECS Effort Reporting system. On October 12th, the eFECS Effort Reporting system and the eFECS Cost Share module will be frozen in preparation for final Workday cutover tasks and system retirement.

For FECs that can’t be certified because of pending pre-7/1 salary transfers, please contact the Effort Team at efecs@uw.edu with the name of the faculty member with the impacted FEC. The Effort Team will keep a list of these FECs and will work with campus units over the coming weeks with paper certifications once the process for the pre-7/1 salary expense transfers is ready for use.

For FECs that do not require a pre-7/1 salary transfer, Wednesday, October 11th is the last day to electronically certify the FEC in eFECS. Any outstanding or uncertified FECs after October 11th will require a manual “paper” certification process.

Campus units must contact the PAFC Effort Team at efecs@uw.edu to initiate the manual certification process.

If a faculty member is unable to certify themselves (e.g., separated faculty), the FEC can be certified by the Dean/Director/Division Head/Chair on behalf of the faculty, so long as the individual has a suitable means to verify the work was performed.

If you have questions, please reach out to the Effort Team via efecs@uw.edu.

Thank you.
