Final Fiscal Year 2026 Benefit Rates Available

Greetings Colleagues, 

The final FY 2026 Fringe Benefit Rates are available in SAGE, as well as in the Fringe Benefit Rate table in the preliminary rates column. The final FY 2026 rates will be moved to the “current rate” column as of July 1st.

Use these updated rates on multi-year sponsored program proposal budgets to best reflect anticipated costs for FY26 and beyond.

If you submitted a proposal using the previously published (preliminary) rates for budget years beyond FY26, upon award, you may re-budget as necessary to account for these changes. In most cases, this will not require sponsor approval.

Apply updated benefit rates to a SAGE Budget in progress:

Go to the Budget Settings on the left navigation, and expand the Data & Calculations section. 
Before 7/01/2025, select Preliminary. 
After 7/01/2025, select Current. 
Then select Refresh Benefit Rates to apply these rates to your budget.
