Delays in 2020 Benefit Rate Publication - Use Current Rates in Proposal Budgets

Some of you may have been wondering where the proposed Fiscal Year (FY) 2020 benefit rates are and why they haven’t been published yet.

Coming into a new budget year for the state always causes a delay in receiving the healthcare premium. There are also some other central office decisions still in process which require more collaboration than in previous years.

CORE is very pleased to announce this new two-part course consisting of an online prerequisite which offers a high level overview of the basic policies and requirements for sponsored project budgets, and a follow-up hands-on workshop where participants will practice developing budgets in given scenarios.

Faculty Grants Management Online Refresher (Updated and Improved)

The Office of Research is pleased to announce the updated Faculty Grants Management Online Refresher. As you know, Principal investigators (PIs) must participate in a Faculty Grants Management (FGM) workshop when they have active grants that are funded by an external sponsor. They are also required to take a refresher course every four years – the new online course meets that requirement. This forty-five minute module-based course is designed to give a brief overview of research compliance and to highlight recent changes in research administration and policy.

New DOD Proposal Requirement - Current Support Info for Key Personnel

Beginning around April 20th (date not specified), DOD notice of funding opportunities (NFO) for research and research training will include a requirement for current support documentation from all key personnel at the proposal stage.
