Last week, Grant & Contract Accounting announced a temporary process for changing Cost Center, Assignee and Program worktags. We would like to provide additional information on the temporary process as well as the permanent process that will begin on June 1.
Temporary Process Effective until June 1

The Grant Worktag Update Template has been updated with additional columns that will highlight company mismatches between award line and grant worktags.

To request a worktag change to one grant worktag, please submit a GCA Only SAGE Modification​ Request and include the desired worktag(s) in the Comments & History section.

To request worktag changes to up to 39 grant worktags, please complete the Grant Worktag Update Template and email the completed form to gcahelp@uw.edu.

For requests of 40 or more, please complete the Grant Worktag Update Template and attach it to a UW Connect ticket. Requests of this size may take 2-3 weeks to complete.
Permanent Process Effective June 1

For an award that has not been set up in Workday, please include the desired program and/or assignee worktag in the Award Setup Request or Advance Request Comments & History section.

For existing Workday awards, please follow these steps:

To request a worktag change to one grant worktag, please submit a GCA Only SAGE Modification​ Request and include the desired worktag(s) in the Comments & History section.
- To request worktag changes to up to 39 grant worktags, please complete the Grant Worktag Update Template and attach to a GCA Only SAGE Modification Request (one request per award).
- For requests of 40 or more, please complete the Grant Worktag Update Template and attach it to a UW Connect ticket. Requests of this size may take 2-3 weeks to complete.
