New SAGE Advance Budget Request Process Available on June 9, 2021

Dear Research Community,

The Office of Research Information Services (ORIS) is excited to announce the new advance budget request process will be available in SAGE on Wednesday, June 9, 2021.

Benefits of the new process include automated eligibility checks, online approvals for campus, and a new, more intuitive design. The new process also lays a foundation for future integrations between SAGE and Workday.

Office of Animal Welfare: Two new Training Resources from OLAW

Those assisting researchers in filling out the Vertebrate Animals Section in grant applications may find it helpful to know what NIH staff reviewers and Scientific Review Group reviewers are responsible for verifying. The NIH Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare, OLAW, has released two new training resources for reviewers of the VAS in grant applications.

NIH Grants Policy Statement Revisions Retroactive to Oct. 2020

Greetings Colleagues,

NIH issued a notification on upcoming changes to the NIH Biographical Sketch and Other Support Format Page, effective May 25, 2021. These changes primarily impact proposal submission, JIT, and RPPR submissions. We will cover these in more detail at the April MRAM.
