This has been a requirement within GIM 2 for some time. This update does not change the policy, the edits are to help clarify this requirement.

The estimated Fiscal Year 2022 fringe benefit rates (preliminary rates) are available in the Benefit Rate Table and within SAGE budget.
The 2021 Consolidated Appropriations Act increased the EL II Salary Cap Limitation increased from $197,300 to $199,300 effective January 3rd, 2021.
We highly recommend using the Full Institutional Base Salary (IBS) when calculating salary requests in proposals. Review Documenting Salary Cap on Proposal Budgets for more information.
