Court orders, subpoenas and other compulsory legal process served on the UW, related to cases in which the University or University employees in connection to their work are not named as a party. May include but is not limited to: subpoenas to testify as a witness on a case, or subpoenas for records.
Note: Upon receipt, immediately transfer a copy to the UW Division of the Office of the Attorney General. Subpoenas received by UW employees to testify in their personal capacity are not UW records and do not need to be retained. If a UW office or a UW employee is a named party, refer to the series for Litigation Case Files.
