NSF-approved Biographical Sketch & Current and Pending Support Formats

Greetings Colleagues,

The new NSF-approved formats for both the Biographical Sketch and Current and Pending Support sections of proposals are now available. These NSF-approved formats are required with implementation of the  Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide (PAPPG) (NSF 20-1) effective June 1st, 2020.

The Collaborative for Research Education (CORE) has been extremely busy converting our in-person courses to remote learning. We are setting up all courses, if appropriate, through Spring Quarter as Zoom webinars. Because of this change in how we provide learning, we felt it would be a good time to share some Best Practices and Guidance as you are creating your learning plan and preparing to take online coursework.

In view of the recent “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” and the effect of this directive on our research community (handling lab issues, locating and handling child care and getting personnel organized to do essential functions and to work remotely), the Office of Research has extended the deadline for bridge applications until May 15. Last week the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) issued Memorandum ( M-20-17), a guideline for Federal Agencies to provide, at the individual agencies discretion, administrative relief due to COVID-19 related impacts.
