All University employees are responsible for the records they receive, create, use, and maintain, including electronic records.

Email can be a challenge for a lot of people (It doesn’t stop! There’s so much of it!). Luckily, most of the emails we send and receive are transitory and don’t need to be saved. Unsure how to identify them? The ROT Squad can help!

This is your chance to finally clear out transitory emails while following this recorded training. Emily and Lynn will describe several specific types of emails that you can delete, demonstrate the best way to search, then give you work time to delete during the training. Accompanying the training will be  search tips and tricks, so that you can delete at any time.

Learn some new tricks, and rid yourself of email ROT (Redundant, Obsolete, and Transitory records). You’ll love a lighter inbox!

To access the training, you'll need to be logged in with your UW NetID. Once you've logged in, please enter your information below, and click the Submit button to begin. If you do not have a NetID, please email us directly at recmgt@uw.edu
