UW Mailing Services has partnered with Amazon Business to handle the "last mile" delivery for all orders placed through the UW Academy Amazon Business Account. This collaboration is designed to ensure that customer orders are delivered quickly and reliably across campus, without any disruption.
The department’s regular UW Mailing Services delivery person, not FedEx, UPS, or any other third-party logistics company, will now deliver Amazon packages. This new service offers several benefits to the University, including a reduction in truck traffic on campus and a smaller carbon footprint for Amazon deliveries. Most deliveries will be made by our highly skilled bike riders using eBikes. With UW Mailing Services' extensive knowledge of campus and access to areas that other delivery services cannot reach, the number of lost packages should be significantly reduced. Our team is also available to assist with any questions or concerns you may have regarding your Amazon orders.
The Amazon Business Prime Account program is an essential procurement tool. All UW purchases through Amazon should be made using the UW Business Prime account, which provides access to exclusive benefits not available through personal accounts. The program is funded by the University, and the products displayed after login are tailored for business use. Departments can also customize business rules for the approval process based on their specific needs. Now, with final delivery handled by the experts at UW Mailing Services, departments can continue placing orders using the same delivery address as always.
