What is Merchant Services?
Merchant Services, a division of Financial Accounting, is tasked with the oversight of payment card acceptance within the University. This includes the review of any organization that wishes to accept payment cards within the University; ensuring compliance with Merchant Services policies and procedures and PCI data security standards; serving as the liaison between University merchants and our merchant acquirer Elavon; and negotiating and implementing standard methods of payment acceptance.
All University entities must receive approval from the Director of Merchant Services before either accepting payment via credit card or signing any agreements involving credit card services or equipment
