Account Codes incorporate object, revenue, general ledger, and fund codes.

Under RCW 84.36.050, the UW, which includes UWMC, is exempt from property tax on real or personal property owned or used by the University in this state if used for educational purposes. Therefore, we do not have or need an exemption certificate.

However, if we are leasing, there may be a different set of rules, which depends on the type of lease. Please refer to the lease agreement between the University and supplier.

*Note: Harborview Medical Center (HMC) is not considered a UW entity for these purposes.

If you use it to help determine whether the individual should be considered an employee or independent contractor, you can keep it on file internally or include with the information for payment. If including the form with payment documents, do not have the tax ID visible on the form for security purposes.

Here are the steps to follow in assisting an enabled supplier on submitting invoices electronically over the Ariba Network:

1. Check Ariba Network Buyer to make sure invoice has not failed for any reason
2. Run Ariba Network Buyer report “Supplier Profile” to get companies’ Ariba Network Administrator name
3. Run Margo Ariba report “Supplier Enablement Wave Status”  to check if vendor is Enabled and on what date
4. Send email template with attached Network Supplier Welcome Letter to the Ariba Network Administrator
